The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, December 22, 1958

Mrs. Ida Reese, 87, lifelong resident of Lake Odessa, died Sunday at 9 a.m. at 
Pennock hospital at Hastings.  She had been a patient there for two weeks 
after suffering a fractured hip in a fall at her home.

Born September 22, 1871 in Odessa township, Mrs. Reese was the daughter of 
Solomon and Sara (Black) Foght and had spent many years in her home at Lake 
Odessa.

She is survived by two sons, Paul and Carl and one sister, Mrs. Charles (Ada) 
Champlin of Lake Odessa; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.  Her 
husband, Charles, died in 1939.

The body of Mrs. Reese reposes at Pickens funeral chapel at Lake Odessa where 
funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.  Burial will be in Lakeside 
cemetery.  The Rev. A. J. Pittman will officiate.
