Ionia Sentinel Standard - 12 Oct 1972
Mrs. Minnie C. Reeves, 85, of route 1, Orleans, died Tuesday at Belding 
Community hospital. She was born March 19, 1887, the daughter of Emory and 
Laura Howard Chickering.  August 19, 1906 she was married to John Reeves at 
Ionia.  She was a member of Greens Corners Baptist Church

Besides her husband, John, she leaves a daughter, Mrs. Merl Almy of Belding; 
two sons, Carlton and Walter of Route 1, Orleans; eight grandchildren, 22 
great-grandchildren; two brothers, George Howard Chickering of route 2,Belding, 
and Loren Chickering of Gowen.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:30 pm at Huffman funeral home at 
Belding.  Rev. Gene  Sickler will officiate and interment will be at Orleans 
cemetery.  visitation hours are Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 pm.
