Belding Banner-News, 25 Mar 1965

Mrs. Bessie M. Reeves, 115 ½ E. Liberty St., died Monday at United Memorial
hospital.  Mrs. Reeves was 83 years of age and was born in Otisco township,
Ionia county, January 10, 1882 and had spent her life-time in the Belding area.
 She was a member of Belding First Baptist church; a 50-year member of the
Gleaners and active in the Maccabee Lodge.  On November 30, 1899, she was
married in the Belding Baptist parsonage to Fred J. Reeves who died in 1930.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Stoel (Grace) Hulbert, Milford, Conn.; two
sons, Hubert Reeves, R-3, Belding, Dayton Reeves, R-1, Belding; one sister, Mrs.
Grace Moon Breuer, Belding; one brother, Harry Moon, Hesperia; a half-brother,
Kenneth Moon, Corpus Christi, Texas; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.

Services were held Wednesday at Huffman Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Gillett
officiating.  Burial was in Otisco cemetery.  Pallbearers were Milan Reeves,
Howard Reeves, Robert Noddins, Raymond Johnson, Carlton Hall and Dale Moon.
