Ionia Sentinel-Standard
Walter E. Reeves, 69, of Orleans, died Thursday at the University of Michigan 
hospital, Ann Arbor.  He was born on January 21, 1922, the son of John and 
Minnie Chickering Reeves, in Orleans.  He was a retired farmer.  He married his 
wife Lucy on June 23, 1951, in Ionia.  He is survived by his wife and his sister 
Thelma Whitwam of Belding.  

Funeral services will be held 1 pm Monday, at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Belding, 
with the Rev. Kenneth Harger and the Rev. William Dornbush officiating.  Burial 
will be in the Orleans cemetery.  Memorials have been established for the Shiloh 
Community Church, Zion United Methodist Church of Ionia, and the University of 
Michigan Hospital, in care of the funeral home.
