                              BENJAMIN A.REEVES, 88

BELDING - Benjamin A. Reeves, 88, 52 Belhaven, Belding, died suddenly Thursday 
at Grand Rapids Osteopathic Hospital.

Mr.Reeves was born April 9, 1889 in Otisco Township, Ionia County, and had been 
a lifetime area resident. He was a retired employe of Detroit Gasket 
Manufacturing Co., Belding. He was an honorary deacon at Belding First Baptist 
Church and a member of Algoma Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Emma C; a daughter, Mrs.Harmon (Maysel)Bailey, Sand 
Lake; a step-daughter, Mrs.James (Adeline) Harris, Rockford; a step-son, Andrew 
G.Orphan, Northville;; a brother,John, Orleans; a granddaughter, Mrs.Harold 
(Sharyn) Wilson, Casnovia; four step grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, 
nieces and nephews.


Funeral services will be 3 pm Saturday at Charles M.Courser Funeral Home, 
Belding, the Rev. Clark Wooten, Sparta Baptist Church, officiating.Interment 
will be in Otisco Cemetery.

The family will meet with friends and relatives tonight from 7 to 8:30.

Memorial contributions may be made to Smyrna Bible Church.
