Ethelyn was born Nov. 26, 1916 in Belding the daughter of Robert and Audrey Russell Earle. In earlier years she worked at th Silk Mills and at AC Spark Plug factory in Ionia. She served as the Deputy Clerk of Otisco township for 32 years. She also farmed for many years with her husband Howard and attended Smyrna Bible Church. She loved her family especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed reading and doing puzzles and everyday read the Daily News, the Ionia Sentinel-Standard and the Grand Rapids Press. Ethelyn was married on June 13, 1936 in Belding to Howard E.Reeves, and he preceded her in 1998. She was also preceded by her parents; her infant son Robert; her granddaughter Lisa; her brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws Gerald Dodds, Helen and Milan Reeves, Raymond and Marian Johnson and Robert and Dorothy Noddins; her nephew, Jerry "Butch" Dodd and long time family friend,Marvin Haines. Ethelyn is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, H.Paul and Joan Reeves of Belding; her 4 grandchildren, Kimberly (Michael) Huler of Farmington Hills, Shawn (Larry) Inman of Holland, Paula Byrne of Belding and Angela (Daryl) Bush of Sheridan; her great-grandchildren, Dustin Greenway, Jennifer Harris,Kyle Greenway, Derek (Miranda) Byrne, Katelyn Byrne, Brian Byrne, Kristin Bush and Hayden Bush and 4 great-great-grandchildren, Ryan, BrookLynn, Thomas and Lynzee and her sister, Doris Dodds of Novi. Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding with Pastors Mike Jones and Darwyn Hassert officiating.Interment will follow in Smyrna Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions maybe made to Smyrna Bible Church.
