She was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Katherine Downing Peacock and was born June 15, 1887 in Sebewa. Mrs. Reghie, a former teacher in the Detroit schools, moved with her husband Joseph to their farm home at the former Dr. Downing homestead several years ago. Surviving besides the husband are a brother H.J. Peacock of Big Rapids, three sisters, Mrs. Russell Waring of Williamsburg, Mrs. Edgar Johnson of Ionia and Mrs. Victor Wilson of Sebewa. The Dr. T.L. Peacock was a brother of the deceased and Jason Peacock is a cousin. Mrs. Reghie reposed at the residence until Monday when funeral services were held at the Central Methodist church here at 2 p.m. with burial in Lakeside cemetery. Rev. C.L. Puryear of Grand Rapids officiated. Mrs. Reghie was noted as a composer of poetry with much of her work published.
