Belding Banner News, 23 Feb 1939

Fred Reichert, age 72, a former resident of this city, who for the past two 
years had resided on the Lee Lampkin farm in Keene township, was found dead in 
bed early Saturday morning.  Mr. Reichert had suffered with a heart ailment, 
and his death was discovered by his son, Clifford.  The body was removed to the 
Fitzjohn funeral home and Coroner Harry Myers of Ionia was called and stated 
that no inquest was necessary as death was due to natural causes.

Mr. Reichert was born in Ionia and had lived in this city for 35 years.  His 
wife died about two years ago.  Surviving besides the son are four brothers, 
Ed. and George of Millbrook, Morris of Flint and Frank of Edmore, and a sister, 
Mrs. Bessie Decker of Alma.

Funeral services were held at the Fitzjohn funeral home Tuesday afternoon at 
2:30 with Rev. H.S. Ellis as officiating clergyman.  Burial was in Otisco 
cemetery.
