Martha Ann Wagner Reid, 87, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006, in Lisle, Ill.  She
was born and grew up in Belding, and she graduated from the University of
Michigan in 1942.

In 1942, Martha married Dr. Harold Reid and in 1948 the couple moved to Stanton
where Harold established a medical practice.  The Reid family moved to East
Lansing in 1960, when Harold joined the Olin Health Center at Michigan State
University.  In 1972, Martha received a master’s degree in library science from
Western Michigan University and worked as a librarian for the East Lansing
School District.  After the death of her husband in 1983, Martha moved to
Sarasota, Fla., where she lived until 1996, subsequently moving to Lisle, Ill. 
Martha was active in the Congregationalist church throughout her lifetime.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; her brother, Richard; and her
sister-in-law, Marguerite “Peggy” Howard Wagner, who was her college roommate. 
She is survived by her children, Margaret and John, David, Richard and Pam, and
John and Kelly; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

The memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, at the Johnson-Feuerstein
Funeral Home, Belding.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the
American Red Cross.
