Judith Elaine (Carr) Reid was born in Remus, December 10, 1943 to Gerald and 
Vera (Steel) Carr. Judi attended Chelsea Michigan schools until her senior 
year when she lived with aunt Joyce (Steele) Lower and family and graduated 
from Ionia High School with the class of 1962.

She married Jim Reid in 1967.  The couple had four children, Kelly Ann, Heidi, 
Brentwood and Tyler Reid.  Judi worked for Chrysler Corporation in Huntsville, 
Alabama for more than 25 years.

She passed away at her home in Tuscumbia, Alabama on December 5, 2003.  She is 
survived by her children, Kelly Degan and family of Virginia Beach, Virginia, 
Heidi Reid of Grand Rapids, Brentwood Reid of Homer, Alaska, and Tyler Reid of 
Florence, Alabama; her mother, Vera Steele of Fair Oaks, California; three 
granddaughters and seven brothers, Merle, Gary, Darryl, Lanny, Darwin, Nelson 
and Chandler; several nieces and nephews, cousins, her aunts, Beulah Colley of 
Ionia and Sue Herrick of Saranac.
