Mrs. Walter Reiger

A family of four small children, ranging in ages from eight years to five days
was left Tuesday afternoon to feel the loss of their mother, Mrs. Walter Rieger,
who died at 2 o’clock, following an illness of flu with which she was stricken
shortly after the birth of her infant son last Thursday.

The funeral services will be held at the residence in South Ionia Friday
afternoon at 2:30.  The interment will be made in the Balcom cemetery.

Mrs. Rieger, the daughter of Mrs. John Durkee, of Orange township, was born in
that township 36 years ago, and has always lived in the immediate vicinity of
Ionia.  Her father died in 1926.

He  husband and three children, Locena, eight; John, three; Walter, Jr., 18
months, and Harold, five days old, and her mother, and brother, Willard Durkee,
survive her.
