FORMER IONIAN DROWNS WHILE SWIMMING SUNDAY
Walter Reiger, Jr., 29, of Tampa, Florida, formerly of Ionia, drowned while swimming
in the river at Tampa, Florida, on Sunday,  April 28.

He was born in Ionia, September 18, 1927, and attended the Ionia Public Schools.

He is survived by his two children, Steve and Tommy, of Lyons; two brothers, John of
Ionia and Jack of Saginaw, and one sister; Mrs. William Bensinger, of Ionia.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, May 2, at 1:00 p.m., from the Phelps Funeral
Chapel. Rev.Floyd Emshwiller will officiate and burial will be in Balcom Cemetery.
