Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 29 Mar 1962

Mrs. Emma F. Reiser, 81, of route one, Woodland, died at 6 o’clock Thursday
morning at DeWitt nursing home in Hastings.  She was previously confined several
months at Pennock hospital.  A lifelong resident of Woodland township, Barry
county, Mrs. Reiser was born August 25, 1880, the daughter of Jacob and Louise
Hauer Funk.  She was married to John Reiser in 1903 at the home of her parents
and had lived on the farm at 6711 Velte road many years.  Mrs. Reiser was a
member of Zion Lutheran church.

Surviving are her husband, John; two sons Edgar Reiser of Woodland, and Arthur
Reiser of Lansing; two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

The body will be at Pickens funeral chapel in Lake Odessa until Saturday noon
when it will be taken to Zion Lutheran church for service at 2 p.m.  The Rev.
Robert Richardson will officiate and burial will be at Lakeside cemetery.
