April 14, 1938 OBITUARY OF FRANK REISER Frank Reiser, son of Jacob and Mary Raiser, was born in Woodland township, November 1, 1866, and departed this life April 7, 1938, at his home in Lake Odessa. He was confirmed in the Lutheran church at the age of 14. On May 2, 1901, he was united in marriage to Miss Anna Becker. To this union one daughter Geraldine was born. After the marriage they lived on a farm in Woodland township, later moving to Lake Odessa where he has since lived, and where he united with the Congregational church and remained a faithful member. As a business man he was highly respected for his accommodating and sterling qualities. He was a good friend and kind neighbor, and very thoughtful fo his loved ones. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him best. He leaves to mourn his widow, one daughter Mrs.Ernest Klahn of East Lansing one granddaughter Barbara Ann one sister Anna of Woodland, two brothers George of Lake Odessa and John of Woodland. The funeral was held at the Congregational church Sunday afternoon. His pastor Rev. Edward H. Humphrey officiated. The music was furnished by Mrs.H.H.Chase and Mrs.W.C. McCartney accompanied by Mrs.O.G. Garlinger and Mrs.Spaulding played the processional. The attendance at the funeral was one of the largest ever held at the congregational Church. Burial was in Lakeside Cemetery. Those from away to attend the funeral were Mrs and Mrs Lester Bailey, Mr an Mrs William Zinneckar, Cass City; Mr and Mrs. Phil Baker, Marion; Mrs Harold Harwood, Mrs.Hattie Baker, Frank and Mary Hunt, Orange; Mrs.Carrie Fisher, Hastings; Mrs.Minnie Gilpin, Birmingham;; Mr and Mrs Horace Cooper, Portland; Mr and Mrs Lloyd Estey, Mr. and Mrs.Harry Gilliland, Lansing; Dr and Mrs. A.I Laughlin, Clarksville, Mr. and Mrs Ernest Hough of Sunfield, and many friends and relatives from Woodland.
