George Renwick Succumbs To Heart Ailment Late Friday. Death, Friday night near midnight, removed one of the best known and most beloved pioneers of Keene township, George Renwick, aged 73, dying following a lingering illness from heart trouble. His death was sudden but not entirely unexpected. He had been in ill health for a period of several months and had been particularly ill for three or four days. He had been up and down for a week or more prior to his death. Although born in New York, Mr. Renwick came to Keene township when but two years old and had been a resident of Keene continuously since that time. He was well and favorably known throughout the township and counted nearly every resident of the township among his personal friends. His entire life was one that would serve as an example of the true American man. He settled in the wilderness and went through the typical hardships of such a life. He was progressive and always interested in anything he could do for the good of the neighborhood in which he lived. His devotion to the wife who survives him was known to all with whom he was acquainted. Besides his wife, he is survived by a brother, Moses H. Renwick, of Long Beach, Ca. Funeral services were held from the home in Keene township with Rev. Herbert G. Hurrell, of Ionia, officiating. Burial was at Saranac.
