Dec. 18, 1974 Stephen Repik, 77, of route 3, Haynor road, died at his home early Tuesday morning. He was born in Marikova, Czechoslovakia, June 9, 1897, the son of John and Angela Repik. He was married in Czechoslovakia in 1917 to Eva Kucej and they came to the United States in 1927 making their home in Ionia since. He was employed at the Ypsilanti Reed Furniture Company and the Ionia Manufacturing Company until his retirement in 1958. After retirement he operated a vegetable and truck garden business on Haynor road. Surviving besides the wife, Eva, are a son, Cyril of Prague, Czechoslovakia; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Keene of Belding and Anna Repik at home; eight grandchildren; brother, Andrew in Czechoslovakia and sister, Mrs. Josephine Cerney of Ionia. Funeral services will be Friday at 10 am at the SS. Peter and Paul Church. Fr. Edward Orlowski will officiate and interment will be at Mt. Olivet cemetery. Parish rosary will be recited Thursday at 7:30 pm at the Leddick funeral home. the family will be at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 9 pm and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
