Lake Odessa Wave-Times Thurs. May 3, 1928

OLD SOLDIER FORMER RESIDENT BROT.HERE

Bert Retan, a former resident in the eastern part of the village, died in 
Hillsdale, Monday April 23 and the body was brought to Lake Odessa last Thursday 
for burial beside his first wife and a daughter.

He was a Civil War veteran and a charter member of Woodland I.O.O.F.
