He had been ill about two years. Mr. Retersdorf was born in Keene township, June 8, 1872, the son of Joseph and Margret Retersdorf and on October 7, 1899 was married to Matilda Albert at St. Mary’s Catholic church. His entire life was spent in Keene township as a farmer. Surviving besides his wife is one daughter, Mrs. Leona Kessler of R.R.1; one sister, Mrs. Anna VanAssche of Dearborn; one brother, Anthony Retersdorf of Miriam, besides nieces and nephews. He was a member of St. Mary’s church, Holy Name Society and the Gleaners. The Rosary was recited Tuesday evening at 8 o’clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank Kessler. Funeral services, arranged by Fales Huffman Funeral home, were held at St. Mary’s church at 10 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Charles Steves officiating and burial was in St. Mary cemetery. Pallbearers were Frank, Clarence and Julius Retersdorf, Ferd Breimayer, and Harold and Leo Albert.
