Ernest Reuhs Passes Away
Ernest Reuhs, of rural Caledonia, former local resident, passed away Sunday 
afternoon at a Grand Rapids hospital.

He came to Lake Odessa as a milk tester and employed at the Nestle Milk Co., the 
old Condensary. He later was employed as manager of the late George A. Weed 
Dairy farm on Washington Blvd., located where Mrs. A.I. McCaul now resides.

His wife is the former Madge Heaton, daughter of Mr and Mrs Joe Heaton, also 
local residents for many years while Mr Heaton was employed as janitor at the 
school.

The Reuhs moved near Caledonia in January, 1929, where they purchased a dairy 
farm of Guernsey cattle with a milk distributing plant in Grand Rapids.  He sold 
the business and retired several years ago and purchased a home on Duncan Lake, 
near the Kent-Barry County line and built a new home.

Surviving with the wife are two daughters and a son.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 3, at the Christian reformed Church 
at Caledonia, at 1:30.
