CARL REUTHER
LAKE ODESSA-Carl Reuther, 60, a farmer of route one, Woodland, died Saturday at 
4:30 p.m in Pennock hospital, Hastings. He had been hospitalized three weeks 
with a heart ailment.

Mr. Reuther was born September  16, 1899 in Bay City, the son of Frederick and 
Anna Baitinger Reuther, and moved to the Woodland area with hi parents at the 
age of one years. He had spent the rest of his life in that area.

He was a member of the Woodland Methodist Church and trustee of the Official 
church board.

December 24, 1924 he was married to Gertrude Velte fo Woodland, who survives 
him.

Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters, Mrs.Donald (Rosemary) Burton 
of Hastings, and Mrs.Duane (Ann Marie) Bump of Woodland; one sister, Mrs.Edgar 
(Frieda) Reiser and two brothers, Fred and Eugene Reuther, all of Woodland, and 
three grandchildren.

The body will be at the Pickens funeral chapel in lake Odessa until Tuesday 
forenoon when it will be taken to the Woodland Methodist church. Funeral service 
will be conducted there at 1:30 Tuesday afternoon with burial at Woodland 
Memorial cemetery. The Rev. Marin Zimmerman of Woodland Methodist church and 
Rev. Robert Richardson, pastor of Woodland Zion Lutheran church will officiate.
