Ionia Sentinel, 31 Jan 1873

On the 20th inst., Della, daughter of Reuben and Auritha Reynolds; aged 14 
years, 5 months and 23 days.

Another broken circle, another empty chair!  A bright, gifted young girl, with 
ambitious hopes and life all before her, has relinquished all gladly, and 
during the seventeen weeks of intense suffering that proceded her death watched 
eagerly for the summons which should take her home; often saying, “Oh!  I so 
long to go.  I want to be patient, but will it be long!”  And when dying she 
said to those about her bedside, “Why do they weep”  Tell them not to, when I 
am going home, and am so glad to go!”  “To him that overcometh, will I grant to 
sit with me on my throne.”

[Transcriber’s Note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that she is 
buried in Oak Hill Cemetery.]
