Another pioneer passed away. Born to Zachariah and Mary York, Sept. 25, 1832, Sabra, youngest child of a family of 15. She came with her brother to Rome, Lenawee county, Michigan, at the age of 10 years and was married to Norman Reynolds at the age of 16. Came to Ionia in 1848, when Ionia was but a trading post. Grandma Reynolds was a fine, motherly, Christian woman, and a member of the M.E. church of this city for over 40 years. Of a family of 15 brothers and sisters, but two survive, Mrs. E. B. Knowles, of this city, and Josiah York, of Sebewa. Of her own family of ten children, one son and daughter are left, John C. Reynolds and Mrs. Mary Kishpaugh. There are four grandchildren, Delos N. Reynolds, of California, Mrs. Mabel Thomason, of Niles, Geo. Kishpaugh, Adrian; and Miss Blanch Kishpaugh of this city. Mrs. Reynolds passed to her reward January 5, and was buried in Oak Hill cemetery January 7, 1907.
