Mabel E. Reynolds, 100, a retired teacher, was born in Easton Township June 6, 1881, the daughter of William and Emma Reynolds. She was graduated from Ionia High School in 1899 and was believed to be the oldest living graduate of the high school at the time of her death. After teaching for several years after graduating from high school, she entered Ferris State College, and then returned to teaching. She taught for 24 years in Calumet and 12 years in Clare before her retirement in 1945. She returned to Ionia after retiring and was active in the First United Methodist Church, the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She is survived by one brother, Roy Reynolds, of DesMoines, Wash., a nephew, Douglas R. Welch, and a niece, Mrs. Sheldon (Jane) Crossman, both of Ionia. Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Leddick Funeral Home, the Rev. Carl Hausermann officiating. Burial will be in Easton Cemetery. Members of the family will be at the funeral home Wednesday night from 7 to 9 p.m. ------------ Mabel E. Reynolds, 100, of 814 E. Lincoln Ave., died Tuesday at Ionia Manor. Services were Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Leddick Funeral Home with the Rev. Carl Hausermann, of the First United Methodist Church, officiating. Organist was Josephine Barna. Burial was in Easton Cemetery. Members of the local chapter of The Daughters American Revolution attended.
