ROBERT J. REYNOLDS 1936-2016
Robert J. Reynolds of Lyons was born June 4, 1936 and died Sept. 2, 2016.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judith A. Reynolds; daughters Avalon 
Bennett (Chris) and Vanessa Mitchner (Jeff); grandchildren Cassandra Bennett 
(great-granddaughter Quinn), Nicholas Bennett, and Susie Mitchner-Cannon (great-
grandchildren Jordyn and Carl III).

Robert served in the U.S. Army for the 385th Military Police Battalion and two 
years as 385th Honor Guard in Kornwestheim, Germany.

He retired after 30 years of working for the Michigan Department of 
Transportation as a highway planner.

He enjoyed reading books, working on his Apple computers and volunteering for 
the Ionia county Commission on Aging, Ionia Arts council and the Lyons Library 
board.

No formal memorial services are being planned at this time. Arrangements are by 
Lehman Funeral Homes. Online condolences may be made at
