Reynolds, 86, a long-time resident and businessman, passed away Sunday, November 22, 1998 at Heartlands Health Care. He was born January 24, 1912 in Jackson, the son of William J. and Nettie (Obets) Reynolds. He was a graduate of Hubbardston High School and Kalamazoo Business College. He married Irene Allen in Hubbardston February 5, 1938, and came to Muir. He started a gas station and Reynolds Food Shop until his retirement in 1976. He was a life member of the Lyons Lodge #37 F & AM, Eastern Stars and White Shrine, and the Muir Church. He was also a former member of the Muir Lions Club. He is survived by his son William (Mary) Reynolds of Muir, and a daughter, Roberta (Dan) Lake of Ionia; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a half sister. Visitation time are Monday, 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., with a Masonic service Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services are Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Lyons-Muir Church with the Rev. Scott Otis officiating. Burial will be in the East Side Cemetery, Hubbardston. Arrangements by the Hull Memorial Chapel in Muir.
