The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Saturday, March 30, 1957

Former resident of Ionia, Margaret L. Rhodes, 83, of Mill street, Stanton, 
died early Saturday morning at home. 

Born in Indiana, December 14, 1874, she was a daughter of Aaron P. and Charity 
(Gaskill) Geetings and was married to Samuel E. Rhodes in Michigan.  They came 
to Ionia where they resided for some time prior to moving to Stanton, where 
they made their home the past 26 years.

Surviving are her husband, Samuel Rhodes and two children, Mrs. Pearl M. 
Johnston of Muir and Ralph B. Rhodes of Onondaga, seven grandchildren and 
eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Samuel Geetings and a sister, Mrs. 
Ethel Scholtens, both of Newaygo. 

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Myers 
funeral home.  Interment will be in Highland Park cemetery.
