Rhodes, 67, 1207 Brentwood, Belding, died Sunday, April 19, 1987, at University of Michigan Medical Center, Ann Arbor. Born in Belding Dec. 2, 1919, she was the daughter of Elmer and Olive Bradshaw Rich. She was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Berry Hill Post 165 of Midland. In September 1945 she married Sheldon E. Rhodes, who died in February 1976. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Alan (Susan) Pomranky of Hope; five grandchildren, Curtis, Cheryl Ann, Christa, Chelsea and Courtney Pomranky; two great-grandchildren, Jeremy and Samantha; five sisters, Mrs. Louis (Ivah) Loomans, Mrs. Donald (Eva) Edwards, Mrs. Ed (Delores) Palethorpe, Belding, Mrs. LeRoy (Leah) Palethorpe, Mrs. Aletha Ward, Greenville. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Leslie (Bud) Rich in 1982. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Johnson Funeral Home, Belding, the Rev. James Crawford of First Baptist Church of Belding officiating. Interment is in River Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. today.
