Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, 5 Jul 1938

Funeral services were held from the home of Fred G. Rice Tuesday afternoon, 
June 28, with burial in Highland Park cemetery at Ionia.

Mr. Rice was born in Ionia county January 13, 1884, the eldest son of Mr. and 
Mrs. Wallace Rice.  Death, due to peritonitis, occurred suddenly at his home in 
Hubbardston June 25.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Nettie Rice, his mother, Mrs. Julia Ernst, of 
Hubbardston, and a brother, Cliff Rice, of St. Johns.
