Ionia Sentinel, March 21, 1955

Otis Eugene Rice, 45, died unexpectedly at his home, 456 Jones street, Monday 
morning.

He was born at St. Johns, January 18, 1910 and has been employed at the 
Michigan Reformatory in Ionia for the past 12 years.  He also was a part-time 
worker at the Sample Furniture Store in Ionia.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth, two daughters, Geraldine and Joan; one son, 
Richard; his mother Mrs. Daisy Pratt of Elmira; two grandchildren, three 
sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held from the Myers funeral home with arrangements to 
be announced later.
