Ionia Daily Standard, 25 Feb 1893

Wallace E. Rice, son of Alonzo Rice, died this morning of consumption.  Mr. 
Rice was taken sick about the first of April last, and went to Colorado in 
June, in hopes of deriving benefit from a change in climate.  This hope proved 
delusive, and he returned home in company with his mother, arriving here a week 
ago to-day.  He was 34 years of age, of amiable disposition and generally 
liked.  He leaves a wife and two children.  Funeral will be from residence of 
Alonzo Rice, on Monday at 1 p.m.
