Nancy H. Rice, 64, of Belding, passed away Thursday morning, April 17, 2014 at 
Spectrum United Memorial in Greenville.  Nancy was born in Greenville on 
September 12, 1949, the daughter of Robert John and Deloris Marie (Parks) 
Kenny. 

Nancy graduated from Belding High School with the Class of 1967 and later 
earned a Bachelor’s degree at Davenport University in Grand Rapids, was a past 
member of the Belding American Legion Post No.203 Ladies Auxiliary.  She 
enjoyed bowling, crocheting, sewing, knitting, gardening, canning.  She 
volunteered as an ombudsman while her husband was in the Navy and she 
volunteered at the schools doing concession work.  She will be greatly missed 
by her family and friends.  She married Richard E. Rice on May 9, 1973 in 
Ionia. 

Nancy is loved and survived by her husband Richard and their children, Kate 
Louise (Justus) TenBerge; Andrew G. Rice and Tanya JoEllen Rice and Robert E. 
Rice; grandchildren, Eleesha, Trisha, Tianna, Andrew II, Jordan, Jinyka, 
Stetson, Annastasia, Kiera; one great grandson, Carter; her brothers, Ron 
(Sharee) Kenny and John Kenny. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; one 
sister, Kathy; two brothers, Guy and David. 

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Johnson-Feuerstein 
Funeral Home, Belding with Pastor Byron Davey officiating.  Committal prayers 
will follow in Balcom Cemetery, Ionia.  Visitation will be Monday from 2 to 4 
p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.  Memorials may be given to a Charity 
of One’s Choice.
