Ionia Daily Sentinel, 18 Jan 1943

Ernest Rice, 73, of 212 ˝ Johanaa SW, Grand Rapids, died Saturday morning at his 
home.  Surviving are the widow, Minnie; a daughter, Mrs. Freda Carter; three 
sons, Floyd Rice of Ionia, Edward Rice of Lansing, and George Stevens of Camden, 
New Jersey; a brother, Floyd Rice, of East Sebewa.

Funeral services will be held at the Sullivan funeral home in Grand Rapids 
Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock.  Burial will be in Union cemetery RFD, Portland.
