The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Friday, December 11, 1925

Mrs. Frances Rich, for many years a resident of Ionia, died at the residence, 
326 East Main street, at 7:10 Friday morning after a short illness lasting 
about three weeks.  Mrs. Rich celebrated her seventy-seventh birthday 
September 21.

Mrs. Rich was one of the oldest members of the Methodist Episcopal church and 
attended the services as long as her health permitted.  She was one of the 
oldest members of Queen Esther chapter No. 35, Order of Eastern Star.  She was 
initiated in the second meeting of the chapter after its formation in the city.

Besides her husband, H. A. Rich, she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Charles 
M. Stevenson, and a sister, Miss Erean Welch, who has made her home with Mr. 
and Mrs. Rich for more than 40 years.  She also leaves one grandson, Rich 
Stevenson, who attends college in Wisconsin.

The funeral will be held from the residence on East Main street Sunday 
afternoon at 2 o’clock.  Rev. W. F. Kendrick, of the Methodist Episcopal 
church, will conduct the service.  Burial will take place in the family lot in 
Highland Park.
