The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Saturday, August 19, 1933

Edward A. Rich, 81, a native Ionian, died Saturday morning in Ann Arbor 
following a brief illness.  Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 in 
the morning at the home in Ann Arbor and at 2:30 in the afternoon in the 
Methodist Episcopal church, Ionia.  Burial will be in the Oak Hill cemetery.

Mr. Rich was the son of Hampton and Jesse Stevenson Rich and was born here 
June 6, 1852.  Surviving are the widow formerly Katherine Cartew, four sons, 
Hampton and Byron Rich of Detroit and Maurice and Edward Rich of Morrison, 
Ill., several grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. C. S. Lowe, Mrs. J. L. Hurd 
and Mrs. Harriet B. Rich, all of Chicago.

He was a former traveling salesman.  He lived in Ann Arbor for the past years.
