The death of Charles A. Rich, aged 83 years, took place at his home, 410 E. 
Center street Thursday evening of last week, following a long period of ill 
health.

Mr. Rich was a life long resident of this community, having been born at Smyrna 
and for many years he was a prominent and highly respected farmer.  A number of 
years ago he moved from his farm, west of town, to the home on E. Center 
street, where his death occurred. 

Surviving are the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Blanche Boss and Mrs. Neil 
Sturgeon, and a son, Warren Rich, all of this city; a brother, Walter Rich, of 
Ionia; two sisters, Mrs. Bert Rowley of this city and Mrs. Mattie Pratt of 
Saranac, and four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Ellis funeral home Sunday afternoon with Rev. 
H. S. Ellis and Rev. F. W. Gunther officiating and burial was in Otisco 
cemetery.
