The Belding Banner, September 1978


Lila M. Rich, 87, 732 Moulton, died today at a local nursing home.  Mrs. Rich 
was born April 19, 1891, in Metamora.  She was a member of First Church of 
God.  Her husband, Leon, died in January.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Pearce, Belding; four sons, Burley, 
Harvey, George and Robert, all of Belding; a sister, Mrs. Hilda Wood, Belding; 
a brother, The Rev. Byrl VanEvery, Otsego; 21 grandchildren, 27 great-
grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Huffman Funeral Home, Belding, the 
Rev. Wilford Wood officiating.  Interment will be in River Ridge Cemetery.  
Visitation will be tonight and Saturday from 7 to 8:30 at the funeral home.
