H. S. Ellis officiating. Mrs. Rich passed away Wednesday evening, last, at the Rich convalescent home in Ionia after an illness of three weeks. She has been in failing health for the past two years. The deceased was born Oct. 31, 1862 in New York state, the daughter of Rozelle and Mary Warren. At the age of 7 she came with her parents to this state, settling at Cooks Corners. Nov. 16, 1880 she was united in marriage to Charles Rich and with him resided on the Belden Rich farm, later moving to Coral and 40 years ago returned to this city to make their home. Mr. Rich died May 14, 1939, and since that time Mrs. Rich resided with her daughter, Mrs. Blanche Boss, until last October when her condition became such that she became a patient at the Rich convalescent home in Ionia where her death took place. Survivors are three children, Mrs. Boss and Mrs. Neil Sturgeon of this city, Warren (Sam) Rich of Lansing; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Burial was made in Otisco cemetery near Cooks Corners, and the following served as pallbearers: Bert J. Storey, Harry Sage, Don Fisk, Pearl Packard, Richard Deitz, all of this community, and Frank Porter of Greenville.
