Hampton Rich Held Yesterday. Ionia, Mich., Nov. 8-The funeral service for Hon. Hampton Rich were held from the M.E. church at 10 o'clock today. All of the business houses of the city were closed during the funeral hours. The deceased was one of Ionia's earliest pioneers and one of the most active business men in the early days. He was president of the Ionia and Lansing railroad, and it was largely through him that the state house of corrections was brought here. Rev. S. Washington Gardner, J.I. Buell, D.F. Barnes, Rev. Lennox, A.B. Moore and W.H. Burch, Methodist pastors took part in the funeral obsequies.
