Nora L. Rich, 81, of Smyrna, passed away Friday morning, February 3, 2006 at 
Heartland Health Care Center in Ionia.  Nora was born on August 9, 1924 in 
Belding, the daughter of Carl and Mary Agnes Krupp Geiger.  She had retired 
from Gibsons.  Nora was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post No. 4406 and 
an honorary and past member of the Macabees, The Friendship Club and the Bunko 
Club of Smyrna.  She was married on May 16, 1947 in Belding to Leon Rich.  He 
preceded her in January of 1968.

Nora was preceded in death by her husband, Leon; her parents; son Leon Rich 
III; sisters, Valeria Randall, Esther Pierce, Loretta Borek; brothers, George, 
Paul, Karl, Ernest and John.

She is survived by her daughters, Pam Mason and Patricia Gardner all of 
Smyrna; grandchildren, Ed and Amy Mason, Mark and Kelly Gardner, Angie Mason 
and Michael Tate, Leon and Karen Rich IV and Nick Rich; several great-
grandchildren; brother, Raymond Geiger of Smyrna; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn 
Geiger of Smyrna, Catherine Geiger of Arizona; and several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian burial will be offered 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Catholic 
Church, 9041 Krupp Rd., Belding, with Father CK and Deacon Howard Scheid 
presiding.  Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.  Visitation will be 
one hour before the service at church on Monday.  Memorial contributions may 
be given to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
