Ionia County News, 14 Feb 1952

George Richards, 74, died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Richards, State 
Street, Thursday afternoon, February 7, after an illness of two and a half 
years.  He was born June 11, 1877, in Barry county, and lived on a farm there 
until he came to Ionia in 1945 to make his home with his sister, Mrs. Lydia 
Lindley, Adams Street.  Twenty-three months ago, following a stroke, he was 
taken to the Lester Richards home.

He is survived by an adopted son, Gerald, and two grandsons of Lapeer, and the 
sister, Mrs. Lydia Lindley, of Ionia.  Funeral service was held Monday 
afternoon and burial was in Lakeside cemetery, Lake Odessa.
