Funeral services for Howard C. Richards of Grand Rapids who died Friday evening 
at Blodgett Hospital were conducted Monday at 11 a.m. at Sullivan funeral home 
and at 1 p.m. at Myers funeral home with the Rev. W. Ray Prescott officiating. 

Mr. Richards was a former Ionia and Kalkaska resident and was a member of the 
F. & A.M. and O.E.S. at Kalkaska and was a past patron. He was also a member of 
the Burton Heights Methodist church.

Bearers were associates of the Standard Oil Company. 

Interment was at Balcom cemetery.

Those from away who attended the funeral services were; Mr. and Mrs. Walter 
Listing of East Lansing; Miss Eleanor Cheney, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Davies and 
Mrs. Jack Haas and family of Detroit; Mrs. William Richards of Edmore; Mr. and 
Mrs. Clyde Richards of Akron, Ohio; Mr. and Mrs. Warren Vallad, Mr. and Mrs. 
Floyd Jinkens, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie McCool, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Steimer, Mr. and 
Mrs. Merrit Stange, Mrs. G. Tinker, Mrs. D. Meleker, Mrs. C. Parker, Mr. and 
Mrs. Harold Jors, John Klumpp, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Meredith, Mrs. Dale Lanzer, 
Richard Rychman and Mrs. D. Rychman of Kalkaska; Mr. and Mrs. Frank O’Mara and 
Rosemary, Ruth Jean Cobb, Tom and Anna O’Mara and Mr. and Mrs. Sarlouis of Lake 
Odessa.
