Belding Banner News, 27 Mar 1969

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Huffman Funeral Home for Victor
J. Richards, 65, of 934 South Pleasant Street.  Rev. Sid Baarda officiated. 
Interment was at Orleans Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Tony Echter, Allen Slosser,
Francis Holderman, Lynn VanderMey, Dale Potter and Robert Cussman.

Mr. Richards died Friday at his home.  He was born November 20, 1903 in Cato
township of Montcalm county, the son of Charles and Effie (Lapp) Richards.  A
saw helper at Extruded Metals, Mr. Richards was married to the former Emma
Frandsen on August 9, 1926 at Ionia.  She survives.  Other survivors are a son
Ronald of Lansing, two sisters, Mrs. Zelia Butterwick of Port Burwell, Ontario,
Canada and Mrs. Myrtle King of Grand Rapids, a brother Neil of Lakeview and one
grandchild.
