CORA RICHARDSON 1926-2017
Cora Belle (Randall) Richardson, age 90 of Gowen, MI formally of Ionia, MI 
went home to be with her Lord on May 19, 2017 in Gowen. She was born on 
December 2, 1926 in Muir, MI the daughter of Harvey and Edith (Eldridge) 
Randall. Cora married Verner C. Richardson on April 5, 1954. He passed away 
on December 25, 1986. She was a very active member of the Lincoln Avenue 
Baptist Church. Cora loved reading the bible, writing, singing and doing 
whatever the Lord wanted. Her biggest love was her family, her church and her 
friends.

Cora is survived by her children, Franklin Ward of Alabama, Michael (Mercy) 
Ward of Oklahoma, Rev. Roger (Darlene) Ward of Oklahoma, Charles Richardson 
of Oklahoma and Pamela (Brian) Thompson of Gowen; 13 grandchildren and 
numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Verner; daughter, Adaline 
Ward; step-daughter, Carol Harris; grandson, Christopher Emelander; 4 
brothers; and three sisters.

Funeral services for Cora will be held on May 27, at 11 a.m. at Lincoln 
Avenue Baptist church with Rev. Roger Ward officiating. Interment Tuttle 
cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church. Those 
wishing may make memorial contributions to Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church.
