Sentinel-Standard, Monday- January 8, 1945

Mrs. Elijah Richards, who would have observed her 56th birthday anniversary on 
January 24, died Sunday evening at 9:30 o'clock at her home in Muir after an 
illness of 20 weeks.

Florence Terwilliger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Terwilliger, was born 
January 24, 1889, in Maple Rapids, and in 1907 was married to Elijah Richards, 
who survives her. Also surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Galah Phillips, of Muir; 
two sons, Willis Richards of Lyons and Lyle Richards of Muir; one grandchild; 
a sister, Mrs. Cecil Leonard, of Ionia, and a brother, Samuel E. Terwilliger, 
of Grand Ledge. 

The body was taken to the Myers funeral home, where services will be held 
Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock. Burial will be in Highland Park cemetery.
