Funeral service for Mrs. Estella B. Richards, 84, of 311 East Main street, 
will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Boynton funeral home with the Rev. Floyd 
Emshwiller, pastor of First Christian church, officiating.  

A resident of Ionia the past eight years, Mrs. Richards died at Ionia County 
Memorial hospital Sunday at 4 a.m.  She had been a patient five weeks.

She was born March 27, 1877 and had resided in Davison 76 years prior to 
coming to Ionia.  She was the daughter of William and Abby Foote.  Mrs. 
Richards was a former member of Order of the Eastern Star at Davison and 
attended First Christian church of Ionia.  In 1895 she was married to William 
Richards who died in 1957.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ray Peabody of Ionia; three grandchildren and 
five great-grandchildren. 

Graveside service will be held at Davison at 4 p.m.  The family will be at the 
funeral home Monday from 7 until 9 p.m.

Funeral service for Mrs. Estella B. Richards, 84, of 311 East Main street, was 
conducted Tuesday afternoon at Boynton funeral home.  Mrs. Richards died 
Sunday at Ionia County Memorial Hospital.  The Rev. Floyd Emschwiller 
officiated and interment was in the family lot at Davison cemetery in Genesee 
county.  Bearers were Ray Peabody, Richard Peabody, Stanley Thomas and Carl 
Michael.

Out of town persons attending were Mr. and Mrs. Carl Michael, Carolyn and 
Douglas of Flint; Mr. and Mrs. George E. Reigle of Houghton Lake, Mr. and Mrs. 
George F. Reigle of Battle Creek, Mr. and Mrs. William Hopkins of Toledo, 
Ohio, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Oakley and Mrs. and Mrs. Earl McBratney of Fenton, Mr. 
and Mrs. J. D. Ettinger of Grand Haven, Mr. and Mrs. Harry C. Bates of Detroit 
and Bruce Rain of Mio.
