Belding Banner-News, 27 Feb 1969

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Fitzjohn-Courser Funeral Home for
Virgil Richmond, 73, of 118 ½ South Bridge Street.  Rev. Ross Tracy officiated. 
Interment was at River Ridge Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Paul Hessler, Lyle Hessler,
Roy McArthur, Burr Smith, John Wilson and Perry Outman.

Mr. Richmond died Sunday at United Memorial Hospital, Greenville.  He was born
October 20, 1896 in Grattan township, the son of Sidney and Caroline (Lewis)
Richmond.  A retired electrical engineer, Mr. Richmond was a veteran of World War I
and a member of the Masonic Lodge of Bayonne, New Jersey.  

He was married to the former Azubah Mullen at Bayonne, New Jersey on July 18, 1924. 
She survives.

Other survivors are a son Robert of Edison, New Jersey, two sisters Mrs. Daisy Van
Wormer of Belding and Mrs. Bonnie Campbell of Grattan, two brothers Lou of Norwood
Park, California and Arista of Celt, Missouri and five nieces and nephews.
