Richmond, 82, of Belding, passed away Wednesday afternoon Feb. 16, 2005 under the loving care of her family and Hospice. She was born Dec. 8, 1922, in Belding, the daughter of Jerry and Bessie Shear DeVine. Theda lived her entire life in the Belding area, had worked at Jolly Kids and later retired from Gibson’s. She was a member of Belding Bible Church, Smyrna Friendship Club and was a past member of the Maccabees. For several years Theda had worked with her family on the Belding Labor Day committee. Theda was known by many as “Mom” and “Grandma.” She had a strong faith and great love for her Lord and Savior. For a number of years, Theda had worked for Al Johnson and Bruce Feuerstein at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home in Belding. Theda was a kind and loving person who always gave of herself and loved everyone unconditionally. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. Our earthly loss is heaven’s gain. She was married Nov. 15, 1940, in Lowell to Dale S. Richmond. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale S. Richmond, in 1999; her parents; sister, Faye Brokaw; and granddaughter, Lori Jo. Theda is survived by her children, Gary D. Richmond and fiancée Nancy Shelton of Stanton, Dala and Roger Granzo of Belding, Jean and Mike Colon of Six Lakes; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Leah and Donald Bannister of Belding; and special friend, Karen Linebaugh of Belding. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Belding Bible Church with Pastor Ken Martin officiating. Interment is in Otisco Township Cemetery. Visitation is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the church. Memorial contributions may be given to Belding Bible Church, Hospice of Michigan or the Parkinson’s Foundation. Funeral services were entrusted to Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding.
