The Ionia Standard, Friday, July 4, 1906


There was a very large attendance of mourning friends at the funeral of Miss 
Wilhelmina Minnie Richter, at St. John’s Lutheran church, on Tuesday 
afternoon, and the floral testimonials which covered the casket were very 
many, and included a large design sent by the Pere Marquette shopmates of the 
bereaved father.  Relatives present from away were Rev. Carl Richter of New 
Fane, N.Y., and Mr. and Mrs. McDonald of Detroit.  The bearers were Fred J. 
Speckin, Carl Warnke, William Storch, Fred W. Speckin, Ferdinand Tafel and 
William Hass.

For the many deeds of neighborly kindness and many expressions of neighborly 
sympathy, during our recent bereavement, we are truly grateful; and we wish 
also to return thanks for the beautiful floral offerings at the funeral.
