Lowell Ledger, 21 Jan 1954

Mary Edna Rickert, widow of William H. Rickert, who has spent most of her life 
at the farm home in Keene township, passed away at the home of her daughter, 
Mrs. Theron Cahoon on Potter Rd., Monday morning.  She was 80 years old and had 
been ill for about two years.   Funeral services are to be held this (Thursday) 
afternoon at 2:30 at Morris Funeral Home in Saranac, the Rev. Glenn McCarty 
officiating.  Burial will be in Pinkney cemetery in Keene.

Surviving are one son, Guy Rickert of Saranac; two daughters, Mrs. Bernice 
Dennis of Lansing and Mrs. Iva Nola Cahoon of Keene; a sister, Mrs. Nora Post 
of Nunica; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, several step-
grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
