Virginia was born May 17, 1926, in Lincoln Park, the daughter of Harry and Marian (Woodruff) Riddle. In earlier years she was a nurse at the Belding Hospital and later at the Belding Christian Nursing Home, not Metron of Belding. She was a member of the Belding V.F.W. Post $4406 Ladies Auxiliary and was also a member and very active in the Order of the Eastern Star Doric Chapter 75 where she had held all chairs. Virginia enjoyed playing bingo, cards and the piano. She was married June 7, 1947, in Belding to George Rickert and he preceded in death in 1983. Virginia is loved and survived by her children; Allen Rickert of Traverse City, Linda and Carl Fluegal of Whitehouse, Ohio, Robert and Lisa Richert of Belding, and Robin Rickert of Belding. Virginia is also survived by her grandchildren; Brian Rickert, Brad Rickert, Georgianna Clayman, Trina Richie, Robert Rickert, Nathasha Richert and Nickolas Rickert; 13 great grandchildren; her sisters and brother, Tommie and Marvin Brown of Belding, Barbara and Lyle Bissell of Rockford, and Harry and Rose Riddle Jr. of Cedar Springs. She was preceded in death, in addition to her husband George, by her parents. Funeral Services will be 1 p.m. Monday, April 19, at the Johnson-Feurestein Funeral Home, Belding with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Interment will be in Greene Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home with the Order of the Eastern Star service at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to the Alvah N.
